UNBOUND follows sex educators, artists, activists and partners King Noire (Hasan Salaam) and Jet Setting Jasmine (N. Jasmine Johnson-Salaam) as they raise a family, build community, and challenge inherited systems through pleasure, care, creativity and love.
Moving between life in Florida, the childhood neighborhoods and histories that shaped them, and a worldwide touring life built around art, education, activism and adult entertainment, the film explores the relationship between home, belonging and freedom.

Their lives are shaped by racism, censorship, sexual stigma, criminalization and the precarity of building outside conventional systems. UNBOUND centers what they build in response: Black love, family, pleasure, creativity, community and new possibilities for freedom.
Director Laila Ocean, a D.O.P.E. – Daughter of a Porn Entertainer first connected with the family after recognizing her own experience reflected in their children. That recognition became relationship, trust and unusual access
